Location was good - close to Spooner. Service was solid, rooms were good. Pillow was not super comfortable and neither was the bed really. But I got decent sleep still
Our door barely locked, we had to lift the handle a certain way and push pretty hard. The man working said the door gets warped in the summer. Also we got a room with a jacuzzi. We got that room specifically because of the jacuzzi and the jets didn't even work!!!!!! We were very disappointed and when we would go to complain, no one was EVER at the desk. I like the lodge theme and the coziness, our room was big and comfortable, but we were still disappointed. Probably will never go back. There's no way they didn't know about the jets not working and they didn't even warn us about the lock even tho they knew ahead of time. They didn't seem to really care or upkeep the place.
Made a reservation 5 months in advance for a stay for a wedding. When we arrived, we were told we had no room, because we'd used a fake credit card. They said they'd called us the day before to let us know, but we checked our missed calls. Nothing, and no message. Our credit card had been compromised a few months ago, so we had a new number, but cards are only used to reserve a room, and aren't charged until you check in. We would have updated upon arrival, and had plenty of cash as well. We were treated extremely rudely. In reading other reviews, I've seen that they do this, and give rooms away for a higher price. I've also seen that they trash talk anyone who gives them a negative review. We ended up having to travel over an hour to find a place to stay. In the end, they did us a favor, as others in the wedding party had very negative experiences, and we found a much better place to stay. I would NEVER give this hotel my money. Simply AWFUL people. To clarify...we checked our OFFICE phone messaging system. No missed calls from the hotel, and no messages. They never tried to contact us.
Staff was super friendly and the rooms were very clean and nice. They set up breakfast early so the deer hunters could eat breakfast before hunting! I will definitely be back next season if not before. Thank you!
We stayed there for a wedding. The wedding block was "full" a day after the invites were sent out so they accommodated us by putting us in a different section of the hotel at the same price. Upon arrival our bill was $30 higher than what we were told over the phone. The manager told us there was nothing that could be done because we were in a nicer room. Also, they don't allow online booking... probably because they have made a habit of lying and overcharging costumers. Would recommend driving 10 minutes further to Spooner than staying here.
